If you bought the SB 600 6 months ago, the warranty should still be vaild right?

Unfortunately, warranty does not covers damages like this. Cos battery leak spoiling the flash is not a manufacturer defect.

Always take out battery from flash whenever not in use.

Sometimes i get pissed with my SB900 for the heat control.. BUt when reading the porblems faced with 600/800 users.. I can only say lucky Ive got rid of my 600/800..

Back to topic : If your warranty still valid.. go and send it back and get it fix.. But if you have to pay for it, dependant on its price of repair.. decide.. should you get a new one.. and be more careful flashing.. -Peace-

PS : MOderator.. opss.. sorry for the post earlier..

Sad to say battery leakage inside the unit not under coverage:cry: Lesson learned : Remove all battery when not in use.:nono:

The Warranty don't cover battery leakage, how? Anyone any idea:dunno:

good for u.. i was laughing at the SB900's auto cutoff (sometimes, u just need to fire away even though the flash may be overheated). but not anymore.

still, on account of the size, weight and cost, it was never something i considered buying. my budget is more towards SB600 :bsmilie:;p
