sb800 5th battery

I uses the 5th battery with the SD8A on events coverage... great cos my flash never seems to need recharging time. ... BTW I seldom burst unless certain change of events is going too fast.

BTW I've nomally carry 4sets of total 11batteries per set for event shoot as I don't use rechargeable batteries for flash and the SD8A, but normal Energizer AA alkaline, cos I find the after-charging is too tedious. Imaging charging 44 batteries :bigeyes: each time.

Do u all have problem removing the battery lid (before putting on the 5th battery compartment). According to the diagram, it ask me to pull then push back but I tried liow, doesn't seem to work. :think: I very scare of pulling too hard will break the thing :cry:

It is very simple.. once open.. the lid can only be removed on one side..

On the left.. just a minimal bit of force is require to pu to the right.. at about a 45 degree angle from the flash body.. and it will budge..

Wah, then that is quite expensive each time round? With a few chargers or use quick charger, it is quite fast.

alkalines actually recycle slower than NiMH... but probably it doesn't matter so much with the SD8A attached.

Actually the 5th battery works fine for me, so I'm shelving the thoughts of SD-8A for another few months until I can't stand it anymore
