Waiting for the SB700 as it's the middle ground.:thumbsup:

The performance will be between SB600 and SB800 and there'll be no more thread about whether to get the SB600 or the SB800.

Then comes a SB1000...:bsmilie::bsmilie:

How can I remotely trigger the SB-600?

the sb800 was launched in 2003, so long already

And you need to set the SB-600 to remote function too.

In order to trigger the SB-600 remotely. Is there a visible light fire from the built-in flash?

Yes. You can set it to not contribute to the scene.

Hi,

I read the user manual. It say I could set to "--" on the SB-600 and the built-in flash does not fire, but AF illuminator lights does. However, I still noticed the built-in flash fire. Or the sensor only expose after the built-in flash fire?

Yes, that is the pre-flash, required to guage for actual power used as well as trigger off the remote flash(es).
