Hi everyone, after looking in from the sidelines for the last few months, I've decided to get in on the fun too.
I started this project in mid-May, and thought that i would put up the stuff I've done for the last two months and update accordingly from there. So.. here goes!

*I'm very new to all of this so any advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

Photo for 11 July 2008: Sunset Way

Took this picture at the Jurong Bird Park over the weekend.

Looks like the focus is on the back of the bird instead? :) i see some nice works in your compilation.

Hi Arcanic, thanks for the observation. It looks like you're right! I guess I got overly caught up with the bird that was intruding on the picture. Even with a full zoom I could not get rid of its tail. I shall have to remember to consider all aspects before pressing the shutter in the future :)

Maybe you want to try giving your photos a title? Helps others to have a better idea what you want to convey through the pictures. ;)

this photo is nice, if it wasn't this cluttered with people, i think it would look alot better. :)

I do agree with you 100%. I was unfortunately not involved in the event, just happened to be walking past and took a quick photo while people were (hopefully) not looking. Is it all right though, to take pictures of other people's kids? I was afraid people would start pelting me or something :sweatsm:

i believe its totally ok.. i do it all the time too... :bsmilie:

if the parents happen to see you, just give a smile, usually thats all abt it, but some curious parents may want to see what you took of their child, if they happen to like it, just send it to them via email as a friendly gesture or something. :)

Ahh.. ok. That sounds like a good idea. I usually feel very self conscious when there are alot of people around. So if the camera is in the bag (like day-to-day), it is highly unlikely that it will come out.

On a separate note, my computer has come down with a virus :( so it might be a few days before i can start posting up my images again. I'm still shooting though! Will be back with updates ASAP.

good luck! hope your photos in your com are not affected..

Looks like it's ok! Still haven't really dealt with the virus but it's not giving me any problems so far (fingers tightly crossed)

Dropped by Boat Quay on Sunday to have a look at some of the vintage cars. There were some really nice ones on display! A real eye opener

I have been rather lazy about uploading my photographs :embrass:

Here is a summary of July:

I'm thinking of going black and white for August.. will see how it goes :)
