Wondering if i am unlucky, or something ? but my Sanyo chargers spoilt in less than half a year of normal usuage.... (charge only Sanyo batteries at ard 2.5 charges per month...)

Does Anyone who bought chargers from EastGear experience the same thing as i do !?

Is there any warranty that EastGear Provides !? (i've emailed them, but they never reply.)

They will exchange for you, just go down and show them the chargers :)

oh...by any chance does any one's sanyo charger makes a squeeching noise when it's charging battery?

My does when i charge the batts. Is it normal?

Normally should not have any sound
Strange

Same here, my Sanyo charger makes this high pitch sound while charging

ya, i'll go down one day to change.....

Thnx guys for the replies...

BTW, why do some of ur chargers makes sound ? thats abit weird... mine don't have

AReality --> ya i've seen the chargers, just in case can't get a exchange.... then saw this Maha brand.. but the charger got two type... one cheaper but the functions seems the same, any comments on it ? :)

would be better to give EastGear a call to check for waranty exchange and stock availability.

Get the nexcell charger. Great stuff in the top end model - around $56. Baby the batteries individually - trickle charge and all. Batteries last longer.
The charger also last very long as well.

Con - play a silly tune when batteries are done. Fortunately, it is short.

maybe it is battery charger cum mosquito repellent. ;)

yupz tink there is a slight buzz sound....it is in the manual leh...because it is charging so got sound... :)

perhaps the model we using is different... mine is Sliver in color, and then got refresh function de...

now i check my stuffs... found out i no more receipt and packaging, don't know whether they will still exchange anot... -.-"

OT abit ..
i got a GP NiMH charger .. it takes yrs to fully charge the batteries

Can i use it for the sanyo 2500 battries ?

GP brand de, somehow i don't really trust it. Coz last time play Tamiya cars, GP batteries are *considered not-so-good as it finish it's charge fast.

However, my friend used GP1300 batteries on his flash, and it seems to last for months b4 the batteries went flat.

As for the chargers, i guess it can take Sanyo batteries, but will not provide the best charge for them.... Correct me if i am wrong, coz i am not too sure too, just speaking from my point of view ! :)

There are fast charger and slow charger. Fast charger are normally one that take less than 2 hrs. However, the timing depends on battery capacity and charger type. For example a 1 hrs charger will take 1 hr to charge a 1800mAh battery but take longer to charge a 2100 mAh battery and even longer for a 2500mAh battery. The disadv is that the fully charged battery will not last as long as one charged with slow charger. Also, the number of re-charge cycle also reduce using a fast charge.

Slow charge although take long time (about 16 hrs) to charge a battery, all the disadv in fast charger do not show here. One more adv abt slow charger, if a battery is remain uncharge for a long time, a fast charger will consider it as bad, but a slow charger can charge it to full capacity. The reason is bcos fast charger has a circuitry that will not charge a battery below a certain voltage for safety reason. A slow charge do not have this issue.

u got to check wat is the type of charger u have liao...if it is timer based charger, (for example it will charged for 8 hrs den stop, regardness whether fully charged anot), it means most probably it will nt charge ur 2500mimh batt to the full liao..

if urs is the better type with indiividual charging, means tat it will charge it to the full b4 switching off.....den most likely can use to charge ur batt liao...

maybe u can consider getting the maha charger from eastgear....seem tat the reviews for it not bad.... :)

today went Eastgear... no more Maha charger liao, the new guy keep intro me the Sanyo 1, but i have liao, so din buy... anywhere else selling the Maha 1?
