http://www.samyang.pl/product,21,ca...if?PHPSESSID=271f561e6aee88255eea54b7cff45d56

personally i tried this on my canon 5DMKII before and the image can really blow you off, i'm not saying this is the best lens ever but this lens is seriously dope if you like to take portrait.

From what i heard this lens originally from german but somehow it end at korea now.

ok cut the crap..

I just want to know more about how do you guys feel about this lens? well those who own one of the samyang lens, mind to share your experiences?

Thanks in advance

Don't have hands-on experience on it but have look at some reviews on this lens and it seems to have received quite favorable comments.

Adorama is carrying it in Bower brand and selling it at US$350. Good deal if you are into manual focus...

Samyang lens is also sold under other OEM brands. Can also search under Vivitar, Polar, Falcon, Opteka and Rokinon brand. If you plan to get it online, you might want to search them under different names as it might be cheaper under a particular brand.

Sorry for the nerd question but i dont understand what do you mean by OEM barnds? isnt that samyang is samyang? haha so sorry.

OEM means original equipment manufacturer. Sometimes it also refers to manufactured products or components which are purchased by a company from the original manufacturer then retailed under the purchasing company's brand name. So basically same product but probably under different brand names (as well as prices and packaging).

Yeah, it is still manufactured by Samyang but they put a different label on the lens and call it Bower or something else...

A picture is worth a thousand words

So, if they are all manufactured by Samyang, which one will you get?

cool description. :)

I thought the release date has been pushed back to Quarter one 2010?

Samyang made some good manual focus lenses that are great for videographers.

wow thanks for the explanation, so is there any differences? i mean the quality wise? or it just the name only?

Just the price and the label since Samyang is still the manufacturer.

Wait, better check with each individual warranty. I believe all are offering one year warranty which might all go back to Samyang anyway.
