Samyang 7.5mm fisheye?

Yup agree. Because I can get the canon mount for below 400 and use for both. This will cut back alot of cost. Seems like I might have to consider if it is worth getting same lens for 2 mount.
that's a gd price. is the adapter focus beyond infinity? then the lens still can use just need to check focusing.

Btw have you tried de-fishing? If it is good I might get this instead of 9-18.

not tried de-fishing as i have 9-18 :) i think i read tomcat's thread before on de-fishing, can't really find it, maybe he can comment on this further.

Yup if you are using other system u can buy at an even lower price.

Btw my adaptor is those 20 dollars kind..not sure how to check if can focus to infinity.

Is the 9-18 sharper than this?

Choose a subject, magnify your LCD screen on EP1, manual focus towards infinity, if it gets sharp at certain point, means your adapter is ok. usually my experience with some of these 3rd party adapters is the tolerance, so when it's sharp you may realize that you can still manual focus and then the subject gets blur before you hit the limit of the focusing ring. So this is focusing beyond infinity. With the m43 version, at least on mine, infinity focus at the limit corresponds to a sharp picture.

As for sharpness, haven't done any side by side. For me, the fisheye is not meant for performance, it's more for fun lens, it's looks good enough for me. If I want more serious landscape, i suppose 9-18mm should do a better job.

Yes I have actually brought a fisheye lens along on a trip in place of the much heavier UWA lens to save on weight. A Fisheye usually have a wider angle of view than a UWA with the same focal length and can give a good rectilinear ultra wide angle image if a good defishing software eg. Fisheye-Hemi is used.

As a cheaper alternative, with the Olympus m43 system you can get their Fisheye converter (FCON-P01) which can be used with the 14-42mm kit lens and give quite a good fisheye effect although it is not as wide as the Samyang one.

Example of the FCON-P01 output...
