Sales thread should be editable to remove contact information after item sold.

As per topic, sales thread should be allowed to edit like in other forums where i can delete my contact information after selling the item.
Its a hassle when i have already closed the thread and posted ITEM SOLD there however people still contact me via SMS asking whether the item is still avail or not.

Sales threads are not allowed to be edited solely for transparency before and after the sale.

This is no plans to change this policy.

as a rule, we do not amend or delete any threads in buy/sell, unless it is a spam. it is also useful to buyer/seller to have access to the contact details if something does crop up after the sale.

if you have sold the item, you can actually close the thread yourselves and list it as sold. if people still contact you after seeing that you already said sold... then we can't blame them for being illiterate, right? ;p

agree with the mods on the stand not to amend sales threads.

i think problem with people "not reading" the closed threads or posts are caused partially by google search results throwing up old sales from aggregators like www.f8daily.com, boardreader, etc, which only throws up the initial thread but not the closed or subsequent post status.

anyway to block these sites from drawing results from CS?
