Got mine just now at Cathay. I got visible CA at f1.8 and f2 and it went away around f2.8.
Here are 2 quick shots I took outside.

It is Chromatic aberration. The blue purple fringes or outlines you see in my 100% crop on the bus wheel nuts and the edges.
Here is more informations.

Yes, actually I observe that the CA in 35mm is better controlled, even at F1.8 as compared to 50mm.
It also does better than Nikkon 35/1.8 for CA too.
Overall, a respectable lens at a good price, definitely a worthy replacement for Sigma 30/1.4 or Minolta 35/2 for half the price.
the CA is quite bad here. and i dont really see spectacular sharpness. of course its not a professional lens aimed from prosumers. but judging from the sample pics it seems quite good for a 35mm prime. the sigma 30 1.4 is just too expensive.I forgot to mention that I did not used the hood provided.
Here is a shot taken at f2

I will try again with the hood to see if it helps to improve.

Any idea the RRP for this lens and how it is compared against Sony 35mm G f/1.4 (apart from the wider aperture and the weight)
