AFAIK Sony did NOT get the patents for all the Minolta lenses. I think the excellent 135 f/2.8 was one of the licenses they did not get.

Is it? Thought when Sony took over, they would took over the all the design. Very bad Minolta, no longer in DSLR or lens business, but still hold on to the licenses...

quite out of topic, but when I saw a Konica Minolta van the other day I got very excited... The first thought that comes to mind was my old Dynax 7D and I thought "hmm maybe some camera delivery". In retrospect, this sounds super stupid actually.. But anyway I moved in front and saw photocopiers and I got so disappointed. But the big blue logo is so attractive somehow.. haha and might I say, nicer than the alpha logo

Wish they are still in the camera business..

MAybe Minolta wanted Sony to specially buy it from them. :bsmilie: So that at least Minolta doesnt lose that much. :dunno:
