Nice to see lots of older saints here!!

OT a bit: Yes, Mr Aw Yong, Mr Koh Yong Mong, Mr David Labroy are all still here. Mr Harry Tan was a guest for the school's Founders' Day 2 years ago, and he looked pretty.. uhh, frail. Yup.

Mr David Labroy is the <insert any word to describe OBESE / FAT> teacher who usually rants on-and-on about History, especially the Operations in WW2... Rahh, I slept through his classes last year haha..

SAV really integrated the 3 schools. Now everyone has access to a pool, track, field, Tennis courts, specially built band rooms (GO BAND!! xD), Multipurpose Airconditioned halls / auditoriums and much much more!! Facilities are pretty good yupp..

Mr Yee Teck Peng is still a relief teacher (storyteller, haha) who still goes everywhere with his Sony prosumer pns. He's the one who introduced my class to Eddie Sung (1976 'A' Level), and I borrowed the book made by Eddie, presented to YTP.

On-Topic:

@ Hexy21: Yes, that picture was taken with a 17-40mm. Post-processed. It's a great lens of course, if you're planning on getting one or something of that sort. Was very appropriate for the outdoor shoot.

@ Joined up the Yahoo group. I'll see if they accept me haha..

@ pplneedthelord: Thanks!!

SA rules!
Up and On~

EDIT: Saints!! Check out THIS page if you haven't heard of Eddie Sung! Cheers~

I am as surprised as you. It's been 15 years since I left too. You were from Class of 93?

TS can offer his pics to Mr Yee Teck Peng for the SAS group. This will allow all to be kept up to date on SAS events. ;)

Err... nope.. Mind you i spent five years in secondary school not four and i suck at math (i'm a journalist so sue me) If my (poor) math is right, i graduated in 96...
So it should be.. 12 years ago?

La'Broy (who i still keep in touch with.. sort of) was the very plump history/english teacher.

Eh.. he's back teaching? Cool. I'll pay the school a visit when i get back to singapore in May.
I still remember Harry's merc station wagon.. hahaha.

Alright, I'm into the yahoo group. Can't believe it that Yahoo is still having their 5mb per account for photo gallery crap.. Resizing time.

La'broy went through Liposuction, if you want to know =X

Heh..I wish I was from that year, but I was from a way earlier batch. My time in school was from 78-89. So yes tat makes me old...37 to be exact.

Looking at these photos really bring back the fun memories of days as a Saint.

I've seen the school website, and 95% of the both the primary and secondary teachers are completely foreign to me. I'm happy to still see Chan You Meng, Michael Lim and Mr Sim B T (What happened to his hair..its gray!!!) teaching.

Are any of u in the SA Alumni? I'm considering joining it..but the lack of activity doesn't appeal to me..

Haha... He bought the Merc station wagon when I was in Sec 3 if I remember correctly. He claims that he bought it so that he could use the back of the wagon to put drinks for the rugby boys to take from.

Thanks for the update... The DYK group is really informational. But it makes me miss the school even more! :(

Ha ha... My senior eh? ;)

Chan You Meng and Sim Boey Teck were my teachers too. That was 1990-91. Mr Sim was my form teacher too. Remember him as a stern, rarely-laugh type of teacher. :P

alamak all the Saints here are pretty old O.o

I was from Class of '93 myself. I remember teachers like Michael Lim and Chan. Another one who taught me was Philip Yeo. Unfortunately, the last I read about him was in the papers when he played road bully and tried to run down some fellow. Turned out he had some mental problem.

Erm, not to be laughing at other's misfortune, but I always thought he had a bit of a loose screw up there.

Wheeee UP AND ON!
Hahahahaha I just graduated last year and am missing St. Andrew's already!

Ok this is super duper OT haha, but anyways, we really should at least get together to know each other more since we all share a common passion xD.. Mr Tan Teck Meng from Parents Association & Mr Yee Teck Peng are probably the older photographers in the SA Circle..

i'm from SE 05. (: OT abit.. any of you guys know how to direct the dyk times to other emails like say hotmail? because ofr ht epast 1 -1.5 years it has been going to my yahoo mail which i seldom check

wow... the man in red polo-tee used to be my rugby coach during my JC days in 91-92... he's so old now... well... I am getting old now too.. Heee...

Thread revival: I thought it'd be fitting to sort of 'advertise' a flickr group I created for Saints. http://www.flickr.com/groups/sav1862/. I've uploaded the entire series of the sports day already, and I strongly urge any Saints to join the group and share some photos =)

Up and On!

Hey.. was a saint in SASS in 97-2001 and SAJC in 02-03... I must say I was pretty touched seeing all these people having the same spirit that I have.. Seeing generations of saints going through the tradition.. :) Oh.. and not forgetting seeing the teachers who taught you, brings back all the good memories. Thanks for the pictures. :) Its got me so much into the Saints spirit that i went back to the SA website and spend a couple of hours reading through the DYK series by Yee Teck Peng. Haha. He's a legend.

Haha, yeah the DYK series is very informative. I didn't know that Kenneth Liang (The guy that rejoined mediacorp channel 5 as a VP) was a Saint!

Oh yeah, check out the DYK Tab on Eddie Sung, if you haven't already :P mesmerising shots inside.

Hmm.. are you guys referring to Philip Ng.. the D&T teacher? or is it another guy?
