Sad news

"Fujifilm tells BJP that its Velvia 50 will continue to be distributed in 35mm and 120 formats"

i told myself that to justify a m-monochrom
i would have to finish all my existing stash of film
i have been shooting a roll a day
then i bought a v700 scanner and found the image
quality so much different from my v600.
i recently bought more tri-x and am going to
pull the trigger for more cros 100 in 120 format.

at one roll a day, i think i will buy the m-monochrom
sometime in 2014 and i am only half-joking.

for example, i actually have this stored somewhere:
KODAK: EASTMAN DOUBLE-X Black & White Negative Film 5222/7222

came in 400 ft reel of film....

and this too:

ORWO N74 plus (Negative Film) 400ft

am now working through a 100ft of xp2 as a daily shooter (non-studio stuff).

my pictures will improve, not so much because of my skills but because
the law of large numbers say that statistically, i should get 1 or 2 great
pictures even of 99% of them are junk as i shoot so much film :)

here's a picture taken this past week, a picture of bilal, my pk colleague.

Maybe we should have more MO for film so you won't have to buy the M-Monochrom at all.

BTW I'll be getting some Agfa APX100, they are really awesome. Let me know if anybody want to order together, there won't be too many of this great film left soon

wah i dun even have the chance to try these yet!

anyone doing MO (for 35mm)? maybe I buy some to keep and use.

The day is coming. Good thing I'm outta it.

Its like saying : Castration is coming, and I' had it already!!

Just joking hor.

I have done hundreds of rolls of Velvia 135, many 120 still kept ok in archive.
Since 2010 I started converting to digital format. Its down grading for the sake of convenience.

Who went thru the D1 D100 D70s D90 D7000 path? All the old cams pre D90 are basically useless now.
And many who crashed their HD , lost their files etc, lets see if you can have an image in 10 years time.

Hard to believe Fuji terminate it. Its their bread and butter, or no more.

We are doing Mass Order of Velvia 50 / 100 4X5 and 120 soon.

how about 35mm also?

Of course!

Read -->

Fuji Velvia F 35mm, 120, 4X5 --> no more :o
Fuji Velvia 50 4X5 , 8X10 --> no more :o

Fujifilm tells BJP that its Velvia 50 will continue to be distributed in 35mm and 120 formats. :)

Basically, it put an END to those Large Format guys who wants to shoot 4X5 slides.
For 135, 120, should be OK to use Velvia 50.

Fujifilm is smart. By consolidating everything down to Valvia 50, they can maintain their Profit Margins.

OK, Loshen, lets do MO.
This hits 4X5 now. So stock 4X5.

1. Nikkornos - 10 boxes Fuji Velvia 50 4X5
2. Zguy
3. Loshen
4. Shadow
5. Lua Lua

Wow yes interested.

Yup I know, used to be $4. Found a source @ about €2 per roll. Works out to be S$4 per roll for an order of 21 rolls(got min order qty)
