Sachtler FSB 6 with Speed lock

Wondering if anyone has a set of tripod and can share their experience with them.

sachtler is my favourite brand of tripod , i have a caddy myself and been using it for years and still going strong and really if they have a tagline it should be "nothing pans like satchler" lol... maybe if u want cheapr alternative can try vinten vision 6 head not bad lah but won't last long as satchler life does...

The Caddy is legendary as are all the bigger Sachtler tripods. I'm wondering how their new smaller tripods will handle? I recently tested the FSB head and its very smooth with the EX1 but still got a bit of backlash - the standard Aluminuilm legs that came with it weren't so solid. I especially like the idea of their Speed Lock Legs for run and gun but so far I can't find many reviews on the system. Anyone?

I use a Sachtler Caddy and Vinten Vision 100 for my daily work with the Vinten being able to go for heavier loads. I use a Vision 6 for my wildlife work and have no complaints about it. The counterbalance system of Vinten really wins and trashes the Caddy's 4 step. IMHO, you may want to consider a Vinten though if the camera you are using is really going to lightweight, then the Perfect Balance system wun work.

From what I have read, the smaller Sachtlers are just not worth the buck.
