in response to ur 2nd qs, yup. sadly, tt's no focus to infinity in 6500fd. so the only method we can apply is as aforementioned.

Thanks.

The fireworks mode is only 1/2 to 4 seconds range which limits creativity. Many fireworks in S'pore are best shot with bulb mode or 8 seconds exposure (which is necessary to capture many blooms with fine long trails within the same frame and also expose the foreground or background buildings sufficiently at between F/8-F/11 aperture.).

Unfortunately, the S6500fd only has shutter speed up to 30 seconds and does not have bulb mode.

For those who are familiar with taking fireworks, it's better to use manual mode for better control.

Hi guys,

I just bought a S6500fd a few days ago to shoot during NDP Preview.

Here are some of the pictures taken : http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=299441

Feel free to give comments and advices.

I realise that in ISO 800 jpeg, the picture quality is not as good as I have previously expected from this camera.

After some tests last night, I realise that picture quality is better if I shoot in RAW and do my own noise reduction with Noise Ninja.

Got the S6500fd last week at $570 with 2G xD and a lowepro bag from MS.

Wow, sent in an equote to MS on Monday yet to hear from them. Called and Mr Low's sister quoted me 599 for 1G xd & battery charger kit.
