ok, that's one problem with fujiFilm DSLRs. the dust problem is too much to handle.

i think my D200 has this advantage over the S5 though.

Yap..... agree. My S5 Pro is a lesser dust magnet compared to my previous S2 Pro and D100.

paiseh, i jus hope that it stays this way for u and all S5Pro users. :bsmilie:

the last 2 times there was a dust speck on my s5 sensor..i blew it off and took a test shot. after autolevel...it was quite spotless ;p

My son kissing my wife.

For the dust, one is a bird, the other to the right one is a dust.

To play safe, your speed should be 1/250 for a 180mm lens.

great stuff u have here...especially like the shot u took of central mall

The S5pro is mechanically no different from the D200, so how can the S5pro be a dust magnet and not the D200? The weather sealing, etc is the same. The S5 not like the older S2/S3 on the F80 body, which has gaps alongt eh Fuji part of the camera.

As a matter of fact, the dust problem on the S5pro is pretty minimal for me. I used the cam on a cosntruction site with sand reclamation works and lots of concrete surface grinding and polishing. I am VERY clear what dust is. No significant dust problems with the S5pro.

If you change lens in the open during a sand storm, it doesn't matter what brand you use... User must take reasonable care of equipment.

Along thtis reasonable care line of talking, don't every mention that you use the camera on the sea or the beach when you go for repairs. Sea air and sand dust is not covered under warranty, and sea air will rust the electronics real bad in prolonged exposure. But I have gone off-topic...

S5pro unedited pics, viewers of this thread should not have any doubts on the superior colours that Fuji offers.

the D200 sensor... and the sensor for S5Pro are different, aren't they?

thus they do have different characteristics, right?

and D200 has an additional coating of anti-dust stuff on it. it really works but Nikon never market or advertise it in their promotional ads for the D200 series.

i shoot most often at f16 and to date, its been 1yr since i bought my D200, i've use the blower twice only. yet to send for sensor cleaning. minimal fuss and really delightful.

now, it wasn't this way when i used to own the S2Pro. :bsmilie:

but of cos, FujiFilm colors are really exceptional.

Yowch, the S5 sensor does attract dust. Though it is a lot better than its predessors. I still do regular cleanings, albeit not as frequent as I would have needed, had I remained with my previous S3 Pros..... whew!

Anyway, back to the pics....
