S5000 users fall in!

I've searched around... XD card costs anything from $80 to $90 from a handful of shops. But AP quote me $70 with GST, did I hear wrongly or they make a mistake?

Is it the 128Mb? I bought a 256Mb from one of the shops in Sim Lim (can't remember the name) for S$160 last month. Any cheaper now?

Also, any idea where to buy an image tank without the harddisk?

Not sure whats the market rate for used S5000, but a new set from AP at SLS now cost around $570 to $580 (depend on the person quoting you), and a 128mb XD-card costs $75 to $85.

Maybe this will help you to guage how much shld u pay for a 9mths old S5000

My favourite accessories are :
1. Olympus TCON-17
2. Metz 36M1 with slave hot-shoe
3. Cokin P-series filter system (LP, Gradual NDs)

Really enjoy shooting in RAW.

does your TCON-17 fits sturdy to the adaptor? i read in some forum that you can't go anything more than 1 and a half thread... will it fall off easily?

I'm deciding between Raynox 1450 and TCON-17... any comments?

one qns, when I hit the F button, i can choose between standard , b&w and chrome.

is chrome sepia?
cause i dont see much different from standard and chrome.

Chrome is not sephia. From the manual it means contrast and colour saturation is set to high.

I tried it too and also didn't see much different, so I stick to the other 2 modes

Sorry for the late reply...the TCON-17 fits very well, and trust me, it won't fall off. The optical quality is superb too.
