I am also a proud S5000 owner =)
I have a

• Sakar Deluxe Super-Wider 0.42X (Was a hand me down from my dad who no longer uses it)
• Hoya 55mm SkyLight (1B) (used as an adapter for the wide lense
• BodyGlove bag, is getting really small, need to upgrade.
• Some really old $15 tripod

I am not sure if the wide lense sohuld be used like that but I am only learning =)

Hi guys,

I'm a S5K user too... other than 2X 128XD, tripod and the lowepro bag that came in the package, I dun have any other accessories. Was actually thinking of getting some lens for it... but then backside itchy, went and blew my card on a D70 instead!

Bought the S5K when it was first launched last year, was impressed with the zoom it offers... but I'm now begining to dislike the slow auto focusing speed. Think its rather unfair for me to compare the speed of a prosumer range camera with a DSLR... hehehe

Anyway, if you guys could check out my thread on Army Open House, the pic of the chopper was taken using the S5K in auto mode... comments anyone?

Saving up for wide angle and telephoto ones.. hopefully.

Still an amature when it comes to photography so will be extremely grateful for any guidance, tips, and tricks !

I've searched around... XD card costs anything from $80 to $90 from a handful of shops. But AP quote me $70 with GST, did I hear wrongly or they make a mistake?

i got my 128mb for $80

is it ok ?

You can get large lowepro bags at B&S thread..try looking at there..

Well, my S5K handover to my dad.....and I have move on....learn most of the basic of photography from S5K......then to S602Z......and now DSLR...still learning.....

So those with S5K...keep on shooting.....its not the camera that makes good photos,..it is the person capturing with photo that mkes it look good ...... :thumbsup:

Just shoot without the the converter.....if need to get one, just get the wide angle.....tele u will end up not using it...
