took some fiery shots recently. PNG formats tho i dont know why the quality degrades unusually when i saved in JPG.

Thanks all for the reply. Bought the Emolux 0.45x Wide Converter mounted on a Raynox Len Adapter. If I don't zoom a little, I get dark edges. Will try taking without any zoom and show you guys the pics.

Focus length: 7.9mm

Basically i just tweaked it here and there not knowing excatly what i was doing (but roughly i know la! XD)
Main objective was to take the silhouette of the girls as they jumped XD.
(...i just realised the picture is quite self explanatory lol >.>)

From what I dug up, the Emolux 0.45x Wide Converter is not very good around the edges, so its the converter itself, not the lens in your camera.

If you trim too much, you might as well not use the converter.

Very quick post since I'm doing my labs now. Lecturer's a bit particular about people surfing the net during his lessons.

They were obviously stealth shots... anyway, I'm getting the Raynox wide converter. I'm on a budget... I would have gotten the tele first, but bleh, life of a budgeted student... :cry:

OT a little. I remember I can afford to spend more when I was a student than I am a working father now. I used to go for $20 hair cut ($20 at that time is like $40 now), but now only for for the $8 or the $10QB the most.

I think I figured out where's the problem lies ~ newbie me had placed the polariser behind the converter which I think is root of the problem. Once polariser is removed, the vignette is gone! Yeehaa! Do you guys use hood for the wide len?
