There are Macro and Super Macro mode (Press and hold the Macro button). With Super Macro, you can focus at object as close as 0cm from the lens. Did you activate that? But if the object is not that close, you may need to use Macro instead of Super Macro.

C&C time!

The bougainvillea with its flowers opening, try not to crop it. To me, that seems to be your main subject. When having a single colour in a black and white image, you should try to have only a few items with that colour. The out of focus ones in the background are a bit of a distraction. You may want to try to take the shot from a different angle, maybe a bit lower.

Keep on shooting!

ah ok understood :D i shld capture the whole flower which is the main subject. thanks for the tip! definitely, i'll keep shooting! ;)

and to whooo, i do believe PP is post processing :)

Yes PP is post processing with software like photoshop or Gimp. Another way to get around the overblown sky would be to step down your exposure by 1 stop or use the AE lock function to lock the exposure for the sky.

Velasco,

No 1 is nice !

No 2 is artistic

No 3 did you use HDR? what software do you use?
