S1/S2/S3 Pics

Hi

I am a newbie in photography. The pic below all taken with S2 and without any photoshop edit. I just reduced the pic size and add in the signature.

Need bros comment as i think there is a need for more improvement.

i'm no pro either.. but let me see. e first two pictures.. am i right to say dat u use a large aperture? say, abt. f2.8-3.5? i presume it wld haf been better wif a small one but longer shutter speed..

pic 3. is too centralised i must say.

#4 is e best among e lot.. like e way it is composed. esp. wif e stalks at e left side.

for no. 5, e flash is too harsh.. makin e spider lose alot of details. and it seems v. unnatural too..

tis three pictures u basically haf to work on e composition..
e first two is v. distractin as e tail is cut off.. and also, e log at e top left juz leads ur eyes away frm e bird itself. am i right to say, it's e place where u pay to haf a picture taken wif e birds in e zoo?
and e tiger has extremely weird composition.. doesnT really work for me. e face is too centralized.. leavin a big void to e left. e legs are chopped off and it's either my monitor or e tiger's face seems alittle overexposed..

Yah I agreed on your comments. There are very important to me. Now i can improved on my shot taking into consideration of the comments.

I hope i can shot more good photos.

Yeah, we can put up a FAQ or something somewhere eventually. I cannot find my S2IS faq, will post it when I come across it. Interesting little titbits, like you can go direct from play mode to shoot mode by just half pressing your shutter button. Do not need to switch the little dial to shoot mode.

Maybe we can start another thread first, so that all the users with a Canon P&S can post their name & camera there. They already have one for d/SLR, might as well give the rest of us a chance.
