Good stuff from a new user! Wish I shot like that when I started with my S2. :)
The background is good, except for the green leaf at the top. It makes the eye wander away from the flower.

Good background! Try to shoot macro this way, so your subject stands out. Post in the macro forum, there are experts there that can help you improve. I am just a beginner like u. :) The other hard thing to do is to make sure that the head/eyes are in focus, cannot really tell using the LCD. I normally will take a large number of shots, then delete all the mis-focused ones.

Nice. How about trying to put the frog in the top right of the pic, not the middle. Makes it look better.

Brother you mean this?

Yeah. Try it when you are framing the shot, will make it look like the frog is looking infront across the expanse of the leaf. That way you also do not need to crop much. Keep on shooting!

Whitelion,

Really nice shots, especially from someone who has just started. Maybe it will be good if all of you put down some basic info e.g. auto/manual focus, flash?, macro? iso? etc

So far, I have taken only a few shots.

Here's my virgin naked toes shot. Auto, zoom, flash, handheld.

I tried taking my bath tap with and without flash. Auto, handheld. Which one do you like? Can the experts advise what I should do or should not do to make the photo better?

Nice one! Next time, just watch out for that bit of tree in the bottom left. Hmmmm.... wonder how it will look if the triangles march diagonally across the picture.
