lastboltnut, nightz88: thanks for comments.

agree that it is a little overexposed. I've got other angle shots, but they have kids in the background. Big guy...approx 1.5m at least. He was on a marble stone table, Palawan Amphitheatre, Sentosa. Showtime 12nn

As it was, I was a big "bully" squeezing my way to the front, and telling kids not to touch it while I take photo!!:embrass:

:complain: Mummy! There is a big bully!!

I am using a CRT for both home and offc. Can you see the detail at the lower portion of the rabit in my son's pic? I intended it to be darker without much detail...

Calibration can be such a pain..... You should not be able to see the post that well in my picture, maybe your work monitor is a bit too bright. Are you using a LCD?

I can see the eyes and a bit of the feet on my office LCD. Will go home & look on my home CRT.

U calibrated your CRT?

Well, not exactly calibrated. More like used some online tools to set my brightness.

I can see the feet of the rabbit & the face on the CRT.

Lower Pierce Reservoir (Near Infra Red)

I took some shots on Sunday. It was a nice bright headache inducing day! :bsmilie:

Both are the same shot, just slightly different processing. Will post more once I finish processing.

cerebrus: below from your suggestion to crop & focus on eye... angled shot and not direct

2 more shots without fill flash. i think better exposure than with fill flash:

I like the 2nd pic, golden warm colour, like sunset.

Thanks cerebrus, I intend to see only the right foot of the rabbit and half the body of the rabit in the shadow. Think by adjusting the monitor brightness can do the job.

So, I am not re-posting liao....I actually highted Hann's left eye to draw more attention on his wet eye lashes....is it decernable?

Hi all, please give me your comment....it is here in post #631. Thanks!

Center weighted most of the time.

I attended the free digital photography workshop that comes wif my S3 package. I asked the instructor which mode should we use for different situation.

He TOLD me to forget about the center-weight mode, he said its isn't useful at all !!!!! :o

He carried on saying use evaluative for landscape and spot for portrait, but tat's only a guideline. Basically it is subjected to how u want the object to look in the pic ...

I use center weight oso, works fine for me. Dun tell me i was taken for a ride ???

Stuff that is diff to focus using auto focus, i just use manual focus.

Ok, played around with B&W and here are my results:

These are based on the two previous IR pictures. Its quite amazing what Photoshop can do.

Err.... way off in what way? Most IR shots look quite different from normal photos. #3 was a simple B&W conversion. #4 was the same B&W with some processing, to get the dark skies.

I like the one on top. The 2nd B&W is too dark while the shadow is still sharp, contradiction....

Actually if the fram is evenly distributed with dark and light obj, center weighted is fine...if not spot is good. Evaluative, not sure, it is the most advance metering that splits the frame into many zones, so I duno how to compensate the exposure with this mode.....but I think it is pretty much self adjusted ba?

Ya, manual focus is good.:)
