To TS,
Are u trying to create this effect?

This is what I wanted too, with the slight colours :).
The reason why there are so many people here who are doubting you is because you insisted that you have shot those pics which are badly overexposed ON PURPOSE ..:bsmilie:
You claim that you are a newbie, and it is incredible that you are able to adjust your settings to get overexposed images .... if you are able to do that, then it would be safe to assume that you will be able to adjust the settings correctly.
Most of us have come from being a newbie before, and we have gone thru this "accidental stage" before, so that is why I do not believe that you have done all these ON PURPOSE .
It was a sunny day (and the images are all shot under the sun), and there is nothing to be shy that you have shot some of them incorrectly and maybe if you want the ppl here to C & C, just admit it and post maybe 1 or 2 photos. But to claim that you have done them on purpose, that's to me is as good as telling a white lie..... but if you can prove that I am wrong with this assumption, I will apologise to you here.
It is obvious that if I have done this on purpose, I will not need to tell everyone here that i have done it on purpose (and in red) ....

doc makes a lot more sense then dp leh :p
this statement is so preposterous.
will you accept if someone says dp makes more sense than the doc?
dont make such stupid comment, or at least tell us WHY you think the doc is more right than dp... :nono:
to me, both have their right and wrong views ...

why are you doubting my personal opinion? are you trying to influence my thinking too? :dunno: i am under no obligation to explain to you squat.

btw..if dp thinks that my opinion is wrong, let him come discuss with me. this has nothing to do with you. shoo.....

i am not doubting your personal opinion .... i am saying that your statement is so stupid...

Well that, only the people who shot with me will know ... I was directing the model, and some wanted to know what I get when I decide to shoot that way ... Infact I've also mentioned it was going to be an overexposure in the first place ...

what so stupid about it? if you think its stupid then thats fine with me. cant please everyone right? :bsmilie:

i wonder what's all these argument doing inside your thread, why don't you tell everyone what you learnt/got out of all these discussion to appease all the angry souls, and what you intend to do to improve. it's probably more productive that way. i can only advise that the basics must be well grounded before experimentation occurs; whether you are good enough in your basics in order to explore is up to you to decide, but once you post pictures in a public forum asking for feedback, be prepared that others are entitled to their views on the quality of your pictures (good or bad) ... whether you want to learn a thing or two from the comments is up to you.

Like i said, please accept my apology, if you really able to get consistent "overexposed" images on purpose .... then please at least dont keep telling us that you are a newbie .. you should be able to post more of the "perfectly" exposed images...

eh...you know. i seriously doubt he will learn from a lot of the comments. most were just slamming him and his style. but hopefully he might have picked some tips here and there. it makes me wonder if he had offended some of these guys before..maybe even in a previous life

that's for him to decide. if he thinks the thread is rather useless for learning anything, he can always request for the thread to be closed.

might be good for him to do that. this thread seems like a mess..

even got goodness-knows-who coming after me for some personal opinion that i expressed.

sure..no problem with that. :bsmilie: if all of us were to agree it would be helluva boring. but then at least my wish is all can at least disagree and debate about it in a more civilised manner..in a different thread of course.
