Do u shhot from the sidelines or at the grandstand seating area?
If you are shooting from the sidelines, do u need any clearence pass from FAS?

Tempines VS Home
also first time take with my poor 300d
May I know which one is out of focus? All I know some part of the body is blur due to shutter speed...though using f2.8 wide open already...I not so worry about tilted as I can always use 'PS' to rotate it back.rusty said:They are good shots. Sharp and captured the dance like actions of the players. One of the shots was out of focus but its ok. Especially for the first time there. Did you guys get these kinda shots on your first time? Post them here. Its not easy with the lighting.
Maybe for the second time round, take note of the tilted horizon. Do try again!
BTW where were you positioned at the field?

Yup, you could use PS to crop out the players so that the horizon is not tilted...John Tan said:May I know which one is out of focus? szekiat said:point to note, last year when we were shooting the s-league games with john cosgrove, i think a few of us noted that while a 300/400 and 70-200 are both 2.8, the prime lenses gave significantly better shutter speeds due to having less elements and better light gathering capabilities etc. Perhaps u wanna try with your 300mm next time. might help.
Me? National stadium...John Tan said:By the which stadium did u shoot before?

Smurfie said:Would love to be back at the SLeague again. But can't for now. I'm in Malaysia right now. Will be heading to Penang for the Singapore-Malaysia match and then covering the SuperGT in Sepang later.
If you can, Jurong East stadium is a joy to shoot from. Get a pass and shoot from the sidelines. There is no running track in the Jurong East stadium, which means wherever you are, you are really close. 200mm can get long in the Jurong East stadium at times!
And, you got that shot with a 300mm f/4L IS?? That's amazing! What were your shot settings? Man, you are outdoing my whole life's work with your maiden attempt?
By the way John, got a new 200mm f/1.8L lens that I would love you to try with that 1DMk2. Hope I don't get way overly tempted after looking at the results.![]()
