2) there is something coming in 2011. i'm not sure if its 4/3 or m4/3s, but the design concept is based on the OM-1. more info when i find out more.

With the recent intro of the E5, my bet is on u43. If its modular, this little one is sure to make tables turn big time!! :heart:

i don't think we'll see a modular model in production in 2011, i'm guessing it'll be a pro m4/3 body with built-in EVF shaped and sized like the OM1. just guessing!

Hopefully with a detachable grip to make it easier to hold with larger lenses?

IMO, not really useful since the larger lenses we have to date, for example the 50-200, you'll need a big body to balance and hold well, unless the 50-200 is scaled down for m4/3 system, but then, another thing will be, will it be comfortable to hold in the long run, that's the main issue

Wah!! Size of OM1 is not micro anymore le. Oly wants to intro another format call mini-43? Then we have the std 43, micro 43 & mini 43. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

On a more serious note, having a modular u43 will bring forth a new era in gears. Think of the possibilities from Oly & 3rd party co. making modular/customised parts for the camera. This is going to be so cool & so much fun!!! :heart: :lovegrin: :vhappy:
