Rubber on the lens

Hi i do not know know to save it. I guess CS TAN could be right. Anyone tried his method and work?

For me I gaffer my lenses focus and zoom rubber. If you bought it brand new and it happen to turn white after using for years probably you have a sweating palm so i suggest gaffer it and save the trouble.

You may have experience.
The rubber grip on the lens turns white.
Why and how to prevent it?
