OEM RS60E3 selling for $25 @ TCW (confirmed), $15 at MS Colour (I last heard)

Anyway I made my PDA into an IR Remote with some software. I can trigger either a 300D/350D/D70/s from 10m away (last tested). Works just like the RC1.

I dunno why, 350D not 100% reliable with IR remote. sometimes can sometimes cannot. Last time before the firmware upgrade it was lagi worse, work only 20% of the time. Now it's possibly due to my gaffer tapes.

can let us know the name of the software? i runninng a dopod 838, hope to get it working too.

the RS60E3 is a must especially for fireworks! it's really much much more easy and preventing accidental shakes to the cam on tripod.

My friend thinks otherwise, he says the RS-60E3 is not necessary and a hindrance while taking fireworks so he manually press the cam's shutter button. But i strongly think in this way u're most likely to produce camera shakes, especially when it's taken at night on a tripod.

Not only that, wif RS60E3 can also control when u want the shutter to be open and closed in bulb mode. so u have better control over the blooming effect of the fireworks.

Fireworks just use manual mode to set the aperture and shutter speed and then use the cable release to trigger, cos fireworks dun need to expose so long.

i think it's more to time the action. the 60E3 makes timing better and accurate and at least i get to enjoy the fireworks from my eyes and not through the viewfinder. haha

Yupz, it's in an OEM package. Brand new except no box.

That's cheap. What for pay more for the box rite?

Yeah that's right! Everytime i take fireworks i just view the whole thing like a spectator, then at the same time trigger off using my RS-60E3 when the right moments comes hehe :)
