Are you an end user or offering this service?
If for ROM (held at ROM building), for what I know is ranging from $120 to $280, with prints and album.
For outside solemnization, ranging $250 to $450, with prints and album.

For at event held at Fort Canning, mostly very simple event, and during weekday.

mostly rom got packages nowadys, becos of trying to get the couple AD Wedding to do.
But, i saw at other forums, some ppl still charge $500/- to $600/- per AD WEDDING, wat a disappointment. :cry:

I am just like you...always help best friends to shoot for free. Sometimes they do gave me a small Ang Bao ($12.00) ...or even don't have at all. :sweat: :sweat: It's okay for me, best friend mah...most important is the result come out good and they are happy.

The last time my friend went to do her wedding shoot in studio. Paid over a thousand bucks. Photographer did no assistance in posing the couple, they were to do the posing THEMSELVES, fired off a couple of hundred shots (incidentally the studio flash went off, but the photographer say, "Camera got problem." and dismissed the shot and took another), they were made to choose 26 out of 50. Out of the 26 they had chosen, even frm an ameuter's point of view, they are ALL REJECTS (standard problems, handshake, out of composition, unnatural posing).
Are studios undercutting to such an extent that they are getting noobs to do the job?

yours are studio package, i am refering to AD wedding
rates are indeed getting cheap. These days couples just want 'cheap' and 'ok' standards. As long as the pictures are sharp and the event is properly documented.
The truth is, becos they've seen so many wedding packages, pro shots become 'ok' shots to them. They have been accustomed to seeing good photos thinking that any body can produce them. THAT is their standards of 'ok'.
There are only a handful that will go for professional services. For their 'ok' shots.
If the couple had to pose themselves, then there is no point in hiring the photographer already. Any TDH can do the job.

Yap...friends usually more hard to charge lah..whether or not the pricing..i will always do my best for them cos its a once in a life time thingy u see..
once they see results, think u no need to put in effort, their friends will approach your service...and then u start to let them know what is $$$ ...its always a choice for them to chose whether to engage your service or not..
anyway, i am not a hardcore photographer also..hahhaha..have shoot..dont have..dont shoot..hahahha...
