Is the GRIII better then the GXR?

where to get nice leather case for GR3? anyone got photos of their case for GR3?

anyone using the GC-4 case? is it good?

you mean this GC-4?

yes its a very good case. coz it is just the right size for the OVF, so you do not have to repeatedly detach the OVF when covering the case. However, the GC-4 is extremely expensive. I recall it cost me more than 100 usd when i bought from adorama.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the GC4 makes the GRD3 slightly bigger. As you know, the greatest advantage of GRD3 as a street camera is its small size optimises it for stealth. Having a case like GC4 rather makes it look bigger

For image quality, GXR + A12 (APS-C sensor) is better than GRD3 (small sensor).

For street photography, I daresay GRD3 is better coz:

1. smaller form factor = better stealth; GXR is bigger than FRD3

2. AF is almost instant. Lens is f/1.9 very fast lens, faster than GXR+A12 (slower AF)

3. GRD3 is 28mm, whereas GXR+A12 is 50mm. Depending on your type of street photo, GRD3 may be better. Some people cannot do street photo with 50mm. Some people are big on 50mm. it really depends

Note that A12 module is a macro lens. By its nature, macro lens are not super fast.

Thanks bro.. heard that LR 3 beta is good for processing GRD III DNG file too. ;)

I always see lots of nice shots taken by GRD III with very good colors. i always wondering how they do it & what software they use... :D

From my understanding, those 3rd party GRD III raw processing software has no custom GRD III color profile.
So, can i say that when they edit the DNG files, they don't have a fixed color profile as a guide line? Which means it's totally up to individual photographer's taste & method of editing DNG file?
