I just got one today. It is an amazing camera for street photography. (I played with both GF-1 and GRDIII for some time, but it became clear to me GRDIII was the superior choice for my street photography needs.)
. SNAP Mode is what street photography is about. the snap mode is amazing. The best thing is that the camera is so small u can snap it with one hand and not risk any camera shake.
. Absolutely quietest shutter ever.
. Stealthiest camera on the market - very very small, less than half the size of Leica M.
. matt black finish, no highlights or markings, wording that draws attention.
. 920k LCD screen (fantastic if you like LCD composition.)
. Depth of field is the best i have seen on a small sensor camera.
. user interface is seriously pro. the options are thought provoking and all point towards street photography.
i am now looking for a viewfinder, the GV-2 anybody know where got sell?

GRDIII is a fantastic camera. If they didn't announce the GXR, I will probably have one now.
The GV-2 is horribly expensive, selling close to $300 locally. A cheaper alternative will be from Voigtlander and it is full metal construction, unlike the GV-2. You can get it from Chiif.
What are the differences of the SNAP mode, Spot AF and FullSnap?
Still need to focus and then snap. What's so good about the additional modes and how they work.

Which shops locally sell the GRDIII? And any info on how much it is? Is there a kit that includes the VF?

Enhanced functions:
* Noise reduction performance enhancement
The MAX setting has been added to the noise reduction settings. When MAX is specified, the image data's noise distribution is analyzed and the optimum processing is done for each region of the image, thereby increasing image quality in low-light scenes.
* Auto bracketing setting change
When shooting with auto bracketing it is possible to specify exposure variations of up to 2.0 EV. In addition, the change sequence can be specified for each shot.
* Image trimming
An image displayed in playback can be trimmed and saved as a separate file. It is also possible to trim an image's proportions to aspect ratio 1:1 (square).
* Two "incandescent lamp" settings for white balance
There used to be just the "incandescent lamp" setting for white balance, but now there are two settings: "incandescent lamp 1" and "incandescent lamp 2." Compared to "incandescent lamp 1," "incandescent lamp 2" gives the image a slightly more reddish cast so it is the equivalent of the old "incandescent lamp" setting.
* Auto shutter speed shift function
In cases where the image will be overexposed or underexposed when in shutter speed priority mode, if this setting is on, the camera automatically adjusts the shutter speed to give a suitable exposure.

Ok, it's out and I have flashed it. Still trying to test out the one that interest me most ie MAX NR.
