I realize that I must read a lot of
information on the web to this question but I appreciate my time

Those who have used both of the mentioned cameras with their native lenses, did you see a diffference in picture quality?

If so how and under what circumstances?

Honestly, when I've used it, I did not notice any noticeable differences. If you are planning to get a second hand of either, I think you'd be better off with the II for the plain reason that there is a dust issue with the camera and its a ticking time bomb so better to get a more recent camera for that reason.

What reviewers were disappointed with was that the II was just the I with connectivity. As much as you might want to hear something more than that, I think the reviewers would have mentioned it.

I think the iii really improved on the GR for what it is, haven't really read it in detail cos I just skimmed through the article.
