Some doubts on the built in flash. I find that the output power of the built in flash's not consistent...Anyone to confirm on that?

I think i realized that too... anyone knows if its possible to adjust the flash ev?
btw, i tried using the Nikon SB-800 on the ricoh grd.. works pretty well

just love the 21mm :)

Can someone solve this for me? When I review pictures on camera, the picture will be blur at first, then sharpen after about 2 secs. What's wrong? I'm shooting at the highest res jpeg. It is kind of irritating and slows things down... :(

i believe grd save the jpeg files in progresssive mode. hence the initial displayed image is an up-sampled one.

It's less than a sec for me.
I'm using a normal toshiba card.

Is the picture quality good at 21mm?

Like Nokia N70! Maybe wif a higher speed SD card, this will be less apparent?

here is a page with some comparison.

in their words:"The level of detail recorded is very good, edges are sharp and there is very little sign of chromatic abberations. The performance remains good when using the optional wide-angle converter, the images are very slightly softer with a small drop in contrast, which is much better than I expected."

Haha... Thanks for all the replies. Guess it is my lousy MMC that's to blame!
