Ricoh GR Digital users fall in!

Well i also think of that. But i think the spoil in the lens was my bad in handling the cam , really. So it's not because the cam was second hand, just unlucky. Anyway no point if i regret now , made the choice,do it and dont look back then.

it might be dated info but few years back when i used my GR10 (film) in US winter time (2 month), the camera drop few times and also viewfinder become fogging.....lenses was dusted due to california sea breeze. when come back to s'pore, i send the camera for service (already expire warranty) at ricoh service center (a warehouse, i forgot where is it...), it cleaned everything for me FOC !!!!

anyway Ricoh GR camera ROCKs !

If I am not wrong, someone posted to sell his/ her GRD in the forum recently. You might want to check it out. :-)

hi all GRD users... do u guys put ur grd in dry box?

Hi Guys,
This is the first time me on this thread. All my SLR, digital, video cameras, lens, flash units and the new 1 month old GRd/21mm attachment - I keep it in the Dry Cabinet- you can buy this cabinet from camera shops and seen them in giants dept store. This cabinets need to be plug-in, which uses a small amount of current to keep the equipments inside dry. I'm using it for more then 10yrs and still working.

As for the GRd the more I use~the more I love them, I like to play around the manual settings... as I still owned FM2's - I love em manuals and no heart to sell them away.

cant get the translation for this.....what new updates?

From Gerd Waloszek's translation @ dpreview forum:

2007-03-22: Please, wait about a week, and then the Ricoh GR Digital will get an expanded black-and-white mode. On March 30 2007, Ricoh will publish a new firmware for its small travel/reporting camera, that will extend the b&w mode of the GR Digital with several settings. After updaing the camera, you will be able to adjust contrast and sharpness of monochrome/b&w images in five steps,in addition to b&w images also take monochrome picture with different hues (e.g. sepia), and using automatic color series record different variations (color image, b&w image, sepia hue) with only one press of the release button. There is currently no version number available, but this will be the eighth firmware update since the market introduction of the GR Digital two years ago (Nov 2005) (Yvan Boeres)
