This kid in the picture actually had a rather strange face. The structure of his face was completely abnormal and he had some sort of mental sickness. I interpreted the "shadows" part differently and this kid, a shadowy figure, who was staring at a graveyard, gave me goosebumps as I took a picture of him from behind.

,,,

here are my 2 submissions:

the first is a literal sense of texture. I am fascinated by the feel of ceramic and i remember trying to capture this picture on a DSLR in Oct last year when I first started Photography. I couldn't understand exposure and ended up with a really flat picture. The picture below was taken yesterday with a Hektor 135mm/f4.5 LTM lens, I shot this with Tri-x pushed 2 stops to 1600 ISO and developed with Tmax Developer.

my second picture is shadows. This is an interesting picture because it is reminiscent of the '40 and '50s gangster movies. This mood is called "Film Noir" mood, and it involves black with little shadows and high contrasts. Some like to use fast film, as in this case Delta 3200 or some like to use slow film Acros 100. This shot somehow reminds me of GodFather movie.
