RFSG monthly mini - April 2010 "Childhood"

Hi All, yay, heres our very first mini competition for RFSG and our very first theme! In celebration of springs, this theme for April 2010 is "Childhood". Rules are very simple:

1. Competition period April 4th to April 29th 2010
2. Please submit 2 of your best shots with a short explanatory of how "childhood" figures into your submission by Friday April 30th 2010
3. A separate thread will be set up later in the last week of April, either in CS or Flickr, for you to submit your entries
4. All entries will be judged American Idol style by your fellow members
5. Judging period will be from May 1st to May 7th, 2010
6. Top 3 entries will be posted by May 8th 2010: winner has bragging rights for the rest of May 2010 (haha) and a virtual blue ribbon (wow!)

Here's my contributions. I chose my daughters' pics cos' she's close to my heart. How she remembers her childhood in the future, will depend on what we do to nurture her as she grows. Nothing is more important than her... I want her childhood to be filled with good memories and love.

life is tough in turkey. there are many boys running their own businesses, one of which is by carrying ice-cold bottled water up the steep slopes at the grand bazaar band selling them for 1 lira each (50 kuru&#351; profit than the usual stores). I think they deserve it all. some slopes there are very steep, maybe 60 degree? I had a real tough time managing my leica with extra lens and making my way up the hill top let alone with a buket full of bottled water...
