RFSG monthly activities - suggestions pls.

Hi all, we really should also start thinking about our monthly event for April, so I am throwing something out here and seeking comments/approval/validation:

1. We need a theme - maybe to begin with something like "RF techniques", in later months we could do "exposure theory", "street shooting styles" etc etc.
2. I am thinking a forum with a panel of maybe 4 to 5 volunteers with a moderator.
3. Each panelist can prepare a short talk maybe about 3 minutes with power-point or illustrations depending on panelist tastes, of course
4. This is followed by a Q&A session
5. We can do this at a condo function room or at this new photography cafe at Erskine Road (behind URA) called "Shots", book out the cafe and do our monthly event. At least theres F&B (Big Guy needs his happy meals.....kidding zoomp)
6. Held around when we close the monthly mini competition

What do you guys think?

My suggestions above are skewed towards in-door and/or low ambient light situations WHICH may not suite everybody. So I would think having more inputs for a more balanced environment may be highly desirable.

Maybe just to add an outdoor scene:

"A Sporting Event" -- taking into consideration that YOG coming and also, SGP seems to be a hotbed of sporting events.

Thanks Ray, appreciate your input as well, all very valuable ideas and worth exploring in RFSG, I particularly like the tie ups with local events like YOG and the food themes, very Singapore and will show the world what we are all about plus gives us strong context. For me, I am a low light, available light shooter but game for anything....
