RF.SG May 2011 Outing > Hop On A Train!

Guys, Tristan (DaXiong) and myself are helping out with this month's Outing as Gary is packed with organizing the RF.SG website. While the exact details are still to be confirmed, we would first like to block your date:bsmilie:

Date: Saturday 14 May 2011
Time: 0730hrs (if train ride to Johor Baru) till 1900hrs (at least) :bsmilie:
Meeting point: Tanjong Pagar Railway Station
Requirements: Passport (Duh!) & parents consent if you are under 18yrs old.

How to get there

There are TWO scenarios for 14 May.

1. (First Choice)
We get tickets to Kluang, via KTM train. If I am not mistaken, we can catch the first train at 0800hrs > Breakfast > Shoot till we drop > Eat > Shoot, depart Kluang at about 1630hrs

2. (No tickets)
We do a street shoot (what else right, Benji) <1400hrs till 1900hrs>
A few places are vying for us to select, and I will update this thread once we confirm the location. Dont worry, food and drinks will be nearby:bsmilie:

DaXiong is doing a recce (Kluang) this Sat and we will have more details then.

As always, we welcome NON_RFer's. Actually, we would love for more non-RFer's to attend as the main thing we do is poison people. Whats the fun with no poison in our lives right? MicroFourThird users like EP1/2, Panasonic GF1/2, SONY NEX.....COME LAH! We dont bite!

I'll pencil this one in first, May is the chionging month for the RF.SG webpage.

Last time I went there with Thomas, Melvin.

2nd class tickets from SIN-Kluang is SGD16 buy them early in the morning there!
Returning ticket from Kluang - SIN, buy them at the Kluang station. Its 26RM for first class only!!

Oh yea, the muslims do pray at lunch time at the Kluang station, so there wouldnt be anyone selling tickets at lunch time till 2pm. After 2pm, the ticketing station should open to purchase tickets.

The coffee shop at Kluang station is a must to stop by for morning coffee. Kluang is pretty much a sleepy small Johore town. Just take your time & walk around in town. Food is really cheap there.

You can bring your own food & drinks up on board the KTM train.

i think i can make it if only this is organized a week later, cus i will still be having exam till the 18th.. i missed the coffee session in Feb and couldn't make it for the Malacca and Zoo trip due to part time job..
