I'm very used to a 50mm, and was uncertain if I'd take to the wider 35mm well, especially since I enjoy shooting people, a 35mm would require me to go even nearer.
After a four rolls, I've grown accustomed to the 35 and I'm beginning to comprehend why it's such a popular focal length.
Going even closer to my subjects just adds to the overall thrill, and now I'm finding it hard to go back to the 50.
Here are some of my shots from Chinatown with APX400.
___
Chinatown just before the Lunar New Year is always ridiculously crowded, much to the chagrin of this visitor from another land.
Spotted this ragtag band of brothers having their dinner together.
I just had to get a shot of them, squatted down beside them and quickly fired one off and before he turned his head I was up and leaving.
They were all waiting for the band to start playing.
It's really cool how they just hang out at the square, totally at ease with themselves, their company and the environment.
