A bigger pixel means larger light (photon) collecting area. This makes each pixel gather more light resulting in less noisy picture.
In terms of sensitivity, I think A1 is more superior than A2 because the latter packs 8M pixel into the same CCD block of 2/3". However, A2 yields better resolution.

By the way, do you guys know that those broadcast level digital video camera (use for TV/news/movies) has only 500K (0.5M) pixels on their 2/3" CCDs and they costs tens of thousands of dollars?
