If its DVX I would strongly recommend you to send it back to Panasonic, its near IKEA (West)

It just a small nvgs25. Own by my mum. So she wants to send it for repair.

My Dvx 100 Lcd spoilt and was quote some $900+ by Panasonic service centre, besides they need about 3 weeks to order in the stocks. Was also quote $750 by Camera Hosiptal but also need to order in parts. Eventually sold it to someone who can shoot w/o LCD. Morale of the story is, its usually not worth repairing. However you can lenghten the LCD life by not opening and closing it too frequently, the connector is rather fragile esp with certain models from Panasonic camcorders.
