Regarding Epson Rangefinders

I have been looking at the sales sub-forum and epson rarely pops up.
I am interested in getting one, where to purchase the camera?:dunno: Is it possible to find one BNIB?
Since the camera was launched quite a few yrs back, is it still serviceable at epson centre?

Oh yes the R-D1, that's my fav RF!

btw, its been "officially" discontinued... while you could get it new in Japan (that was until last week at least), it will become harder to find these days!

This camera is a cult classic. One of my favorite.

Many places are still retailing this camera (R-D1/R-D1s/R-D1x) either new or used. Just have to look around. If you want a fully boxed, used but mint condition local set, try putting up an ad in the local classifieds. I believe Epson Singapore does not service this set anymore. But in Japan, Epson is still servicing the R-D1s and R-D1x. For viewfinder alignment and frame line adjustments, there are many other options besides Epson. Join the local R-D1 group to get a feel or ask more about this camera.

actually looking for a new or well kept ones.
The difference between the different models, from what I read ( I might be wrong;p) R-D1 is same as R-D1s except R-D1s has software upgrade? R-D1x has a fixed screen and support bigger sd card memory and I am unsure about R-D1xg.
What is the current market prices for the camera?
