Hi Guys,
Its been ages... AGES... since I hosted my last photoshoot. I doubt if anyone even remembers the Raffles Photoclub here.
Anyway,
I'm back after my hiatus and this time we have teamed up with folks from Emaho Magazine to conduct a little photowalk at Chinatown. The Emaho folks had recently hosted a contest(link) and are having their winners exhibited here in Singapore at the HomeClub in Riverwalk. As an added bonus they wanted to organise a photowalk for young photography enthusiasts from Singapore.
I've been in touch with them and we decided that Chinatown was an ideal location.
Details of the event
Date: 11th February, 2012. Saturday
Time: 1pm-4pm
Location: Chinatown's Buddha Tooth TempleBuddha Tooth Temple (Map Link)
Recommended equipment
1. One wide angle lens
2. Strongly recommending a prime lens...50mm 1.8 should do the trick.
3. Tripod optional, but worth bringing for those who play around with HDR photography.
This will be a part-tutorial shoot, meaning newbies are welcomed to join. We are seeking to give back to the photographic community that taught us how to become better photographers in the first place.
We are hoping those who come for this outing will have a beautiful photo experience.
Why Chinatown of all places for street photography?
Because you can capture images like:
