Come to think of it, I haven't been shooting buildings for a long time, since going digital. You guys give me the inspiration to shoot buildings again. I remember shooting Tg Pagar shophouses before the conservation - that was like more than 10 years liao.redstone said:SIT estates
The SIT is Singapore Improvement Trust, the housing and development authority in the colonial days.
Currently not many SIT estates remain.
Some of them are at:
Tiong Bahru (possiblily the biggest intact SIT estate)
Rochor House, (Short Street Blks 11 & 12, in danger of demolition)
Kampong Bahru
Old Airport Estate (only some left but they had been conserved)
Queenstown (very scattered, I can hardly identify)
Redhill Close
Selegie House

hmm. okay maybe pitch-black is the wrong phrase to use. im just trying to convey that its relatively dark compared to well, uhm.. outside pavements.smallaperture said:Where got pitch black or pitch dark in Singapore. Cannot find a spot in Singapore that is 100% pitch dark becos you will always see some lights from a distant HDB flats, or some other building nearby or a few km away. Those NSmen who have done their night-training in the literal sense would know that we can "see" in the dark!

I've tracked down the railway using 10 year old street directory.
