Redefining zoom

taking lengths:
5 mpix X 190mm zoom vs 2mpix X 380mm zoom

5mpix div 2 mpix = 2560 / 1600 = 1.6
380mm div 190mm = 2 [checked from angle/area coverage from Google]

-> 2100UZ wins by 1.25^2 area coverage = 1.56

is that feasible?

the gist is there but maybe the maths formulation a bit crap...

[sigh] pretty much loses in everything else...

Huh? Zoom has nothing to do with resolution!
