Recommended CF cards for 5d mk2 Video

Hi guys,

I've just upgraded from a 60d to a 5d mkII, and my main purposes are shooting video. Now, with the upgrade comes my dilemma of choosing a suitable CF card to use with it. From anybody with experience shooting movies on a 5d, what cards are you using? Im afraid that if i get standard CF cards at around $35, the camera buffer will max out, while if I invest in a sandisk extreme that writes at 60Mb/s, thats probably going to cost a lot more.

Canon 7d Compact flash card for video mode in 1080p and 720p - DSLR Film NOOB - YouTube

This video seems to offer a lot more choices, but they're for 7d's. Is the write speeds in 7d vs 5d any different? Im just looking for a decent CF that will shoot video without compromise and will not burn more holes in my wallet, tks!

Been using transcent for many wedding shoots, no issue whatever, if got money sure I go for SanDisk, but almost double the price

you shooting wedding for free meh? Sure got money what. Haha!

A Sandisk Extreme is more than enough, Pro if you can afford it. Now with Ivy Bridge coming out, you'll be able to utilize usb 3.0 interface with the respective card readers to get fast transfer speeds.

I got no problem doing video on the 5dii with my older Sandisk CF rated 30mb/s

I have also no problem with my sandisk 30Mbps cards too. The only reasons for getting higher speed card for 5dmk2 is for faster transferring to computer and also if you want to use magic lantern to up the bit rate.
