I want to print a coffeetable styled photobook as a gift for my friend's wedding. Will probably use the same vendor for future clients.

Please kindly recommend a reliable and good quality printing service at reasonable price.

I did a search on similar past threads, many recommendations come up, till I noted down several (see list below), in the end quite confused on which one can provide better quality.

I am very interested to know which vendor the Pros use, it will be a good benchmark to set.

Hi, anyone use photofrenz before? They seem quite cheap, about $33++ for 80pages but its quite small only 6 X 6", am very tempted but want to see the reviews 1st. Search the forum but seem like no one use them before?

I am using Justonebook now.

Good services.

forget about photobook.

Customer service a pathetic to say the least. I send my files in online and got a reply from them only 3 days later to inform me that it is corrupted. Replied their email and nothing from them at all. I reloaded it on the same day I got their mail. No replies till 4 days later and it is computer generated that it is in queue. I talk to them their online support to chase them...

They told me my book was already printed and dispatched on Wed. Then on Thurs tell me binding machine got problem cannot bind, so can't send me on time. Got a call from their manager, he said machine broke down on Tue, but his customer service told me it was dispatched on Wed! So how can my book be done and dispatched on Wed and binded when the machine got problem on Tue... VERY DISHONEST.:angry::angry:

Book is printed in Shah Alam, Malaysia where they have 1 machine for soft cover and 1 machine for 1 hard cover and they service Asia Pacific. Sounds fishy? It was after 3 days of pestering that I got to know all these.

My customer's book is delayed by TWO WEEKS.:angry: And to expedite the process they upgraded the book to hard cover.. it's not me that wants hard cover. It is my customer. Now I still YET to receive my book when they promise to send it and deliver it to my place on FRIDAY ... Today is Sunday.

On site they said 4 - 7 business days... Now they running a promo. buy 1 book get 1 free. My take... if you want to risk bad business and bad goodwill from your clients, go to them. I have a difficult time explaining to my client on the delay of 2 weeks.

Totally not pleased with them. And ya, I did try out their service before I committed myself with them. So-so. nothing to shout about either.

Well, i have got good service from Just1Book. http://www.just1book.com.sg

I sent my photos for printing on Wed (late evening) and they called on Sat, it was ready! I thought that was really fast.

Called them on Sunday to collect the photo book and they informed me they have used the wrong type of paper to print but the effects supposed to do more justice for my photos. Was ask to come down to take a look and discuss. Well, as much as i want to accept it, the paper type is not my preference type, they (i think it's the boss) without hesitance offer to reprint the photo book for me and it should ready by Wed.

Personally i have encounter seller who push their fault to the customer and pressure them to buy at the expense of their mistake.

In this case, I think they deserve a thumb up from me.

I recommend Photobook Singapore.
I want to clarify, I am not promoter for them, you'd have to use their Live Chat Support. :)
They are nice ppl, they are also printers managed by humans, therefore workload is also scheduled.
I have been getting great service and products from them, not all pages are printed or binded perfectly however they have always been able to assist in getting the books to us in tight deadlines.
I have been printing for my wedding, wedding day and honeymoon.
Make friends, and you'd get more than you can get.

The above is just my opinion. Please dont flame me if you do not have the same experience as me.
P.S. If you need a 10% discount, can use the code : KK42I4T3 i used for my own books.
Can be used even after their 1 for 1 book promotions, helped a few friends save quite a bit along the way.

I used Blurb once and I will use it again and again and again. Price and quality is good enough for me! :)

Looking at this thread.. i see so many people post their comments on their very first post :O

Well, buyer beware, that's all i gonna say.

Sounds fishy ain't it? :bsmilie:

didn't realise until you pointed it out. Haha

anyway I recommend Blurb, so I definitely have no commission or interests

Very interesting. Just gonna upload my photo's to photobook. Cancel lah hehehe

Snapfish
I have tried printing 4R , Poster Size and Canvas Print with Snapfish.
Delivery not Bad quite fast, Quality Good. No Problem so far.

One thing I hate about snapfish is the uploading of photo's very slow.

Just to ADD Snapfish Canvas Print is not ready to Hang. Without frame.

For Canvas Print I recommend http://www.brilliantprints.com.sg/ Good Quality ready to hang wrap with frame nice customer service. Affordable pricing.

Just tried Just1Book recently for my photobook.

Customer Service (8), Photo Quality (6), Paper (6), Book Cover Features (7), Binding (7)

Be careful of wording too near the edge and it will be cut although it shows OK on the PDF preview. Color is abit washout and about the same kind of quality of my office color printer on normal A4 paper printing. Customer service is good.

I use Fotohub's Photojournal because they print on photo paper instead of normal paper. It is very difficult to colour manage the prints if they are not printed on photo paper.

I planned to make layout w/ Photobook but as wanted some personal layout as photos over two pages, flexibility with text, special layout to cover etc. I found sw limited to my needs. Photobooks couldn't help with my questions either. I downloaded Smilebooks sw which I found very good, eventhough, some features went still missing as my background from yearsss back is in page layout design. Once I finished my work, 58 pages, my friend told me I may face problems w delivery to Sp. So I did until I found ComGateway to deliver for me with additional cost, naturally. I got my book and quality was really good, I would say.

I tried to reorder few copies just couple of weeks back...they had a bug in their web (which they informed me yesterday) and I was left in loop. I had to place a reorder and send huge file again. Well, in the meantime they put 30% discount which was good. I got 3 copies last week, quality was even better in some photos but once photo was only partly printed, 80% covered with plain grey. After few rounds with them they admitted problem in their process and now they asked me to reorder w 30% discount, promised to credit my previous order. Naturally I am losing the ComGateway delivery charge.

I would like to learn which one in Singapore comes with flexible layout sw, I would try.

Canvases from Brillianprints as quality and service is brilliant...another canvas is landing to me today .
