Recommendation in buying a new DSLR(Beginner)

Hey guys, need some recommendation from you guys as I am going to get a new DSLR. Well, I gotta choose from this following choices.

1.) Nikon D3000
2.) Canon 1000D
3.) Sony A230L
4.) Sony A330L

Well I only can choose from these four dslr due to some reason. So guys can you give some feedback on which dslr will be the best? Thanks

And I do have a SIGMA Aspherical 28-200mm lens which was from my old SLR. I wonder if this lens fits into any one of the above DSLR?

what is ur budget for ur entire gear at this point of time (or within the next one year)?
when u look at dSLR systems, u look at the system and what it offers, not just which model of camera.
tell us ur budget so we have a better idea where u are heading.
in general i will pick D3000 (nikon system). but this is just my opinion.

oh yea, almost forgot... if u are planning to get one cheap, u might consider buying 2nd hand in this forum at the buy sell section...

You did not mention what is your lens.All we know is that your lens is a Sigma.Perhaps you wanna post a picture?

The lens will not be able to fetch much but if you want to continue using the lens, you may want to consider getting a 2nd hand A500/550 and save the balance for a dry cabinet.

Erm I used the MINOLTA 505si super, which is an old SLR. Its about 10years old already and I wonder if the lens is still up to date to match with the new DSLR. And sorry, I only can get one of the above DSLR. If it really cant fits, then guys please do recommend me the best among these 4! Thanks

look like a decent travel lens... was at the buy sell section of sony just now... saw someone selling it whole kit and body at $550 only

as in someone is selling the dslr body and kit lens(18-55mm) together...

i dunno about the price of film slr... but i thought u wanted to use the lens

I don't mind selling it to fund for my new DSLR. And the reason why I only chose those its because I want to get it from courts for the installment payment.

The sigma lens is worth very little money nowadays. And the film SLR is also not worth much and hard to sell. Only much much older film cameras are more movable as they are collectibles. You can try. But don't have too high hopes for it.

Yup...get a Sony.A230/330 if you are on a budget or A500/550 which is better

Keep the lens if you are buying a Sony dslr + kit lens. If can't use, then sell...

Depends on you.18-55 would be good for landscapes as its 18mm(After x1.5 its 27mm) wide whereas your 28-200 is only 28mm(After x1.5 its 42mm) wide
