Welcome to ClubSNAP.
I would recommend that you share a few more thoughts and details. There are many many cameras that fit your descriptions.
- What's your budget? $300 or $30,000
- Do you want a camera that fits into your pocket or is using a trolley fine with you?
- Please describe your work (industry, typical situations where you want to use the camera).
- Are you interested in learning about photography or are you rather into 'just snap and forget'?
Last but not least: what's wrong with using your handphone?

1. no budget
2. doesn't matter i drive
3. construction/renovation line. using it to take picture of site and finish projects
4. this camera will solely be for work so just snap upload and forget?
5. using a galaxy S5 now. angle not wide enough. had the note 7 with lens kit was prefect but had to give it back to samsung for you know what reason.

used to have a D90 but did not really like dragging it around

thank you

Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 31mm lens, Note 7 26mm, with wide angle lens attachment probably around 15mm

If Note 7 itself is wide enough, the many compact cameras' wide angle can fit the bill. Recommended higher end compact like Sony RX100 Mark 3 and newer has 24mm at the wide angle, can pair with your smartphone for quick upload (not suggesting Canon G7X because at 24mm the corners are rather soft, from reviews RX100 seems better at wide angle)

If you need Note 7 + wide angle lens attachment, then the 15mm field of view can't be matched by any compact camera. You will have to look at interchangeable lens cameras with an ultra-wide angle lens. If you don't like dragging a D90, probably have to look at the mirrorless ones. Can choose from the various brands' mirrorless selections like Canon, Fuji, Sony, Olympus or Panasonic, in no particular order, and the system's ultra-wide angle lens. The quality are all quite good nowadays, probably unable to tell much difference if you 'just snap, upload and forget'

Hope this helps

As you are in renovation line a compact camera like Fujifilm XQ2 is best compromise in terms of fast
aperture F1.8 - 4.something and price ratio for interiors shoot.Short zoom range and look classy (fake leather) in your hands.:bsmilie: There are higher priced compacts but I don't think you want to fiddle with the controls. But you say no budget? Can consider olympus models too.;) Fuji widest is 25mm Full frame equivalent.

As I mentioned any of the brands system should be able to meet your needs. Better go to the camera shops to take a look, see which one's interface, handling, size, budget etc meets your needs more then get it.

Since size seems to be a concern, the smallest system I can think of is Panasonic's entry level camera body GM1, paired with Panasonic 7-14mm f4 (14-28mm equivalent) lens. Higher end camera bodies will include more features, buttons/dials etc but if you just need it for basic photo taking not that much difference I guess

Other suggestions from other brands are like:
- Canon EOS M series bodies + EF-M 11-22mm or adapter + EF-S 10-18mm
- Fuji body + 10-24mm ultrawide lens
- Sony cropped frame camera body + 10-18mm lens
- Sony full frame mirrorless body + 16-35mm lens
- Olympus camera body + abovementioned Panasonic 7-14mm lens or Olympus 7-14mm f2.8 lens

TS should reconsider the rationale of selecting another system camera if not to come back to original
complaint of "used to have a D90 but did not really like dragging it around" albeit a few grams lighter. It's not the same as a compact camera where you can casually chuck it into a bag.

If it's a question of impressing potential clients and getting the job for which such a system camera
is justified. Then the lens focal range should start at 14mm full frame to cover all possibilities. ;)

save your money, just get a handphone. My xiaomi 5 4 axis stabilization takes photos like a champ

In march, Nikon will start shipping the DL1850 point-and-shoot. (18-50mm zoom)
It has the widest angle for a point and shout.
Alternatively, most sports cam are around 17mm. But they come with fisheye distortion and cannot zoom.

Since u dont like dragging ur D90 around then i think u must try out the mirrorless camera cos it look tha same as the dslr but slighting light. But again if u want UWA lens the total weight maybe close to dslr.

So i think point and shoot is the way but u mention u wanted to change lens then the option is few. Panasonic or olympus will be the better option.

Correct me if i am wrong as i am still learning too.
