Yes, pasta is extremely common in the US. You can buy them fresh or dry. Since I didn't have much fridge space, I buy dry Barilla instead. My favorite is penne stir-fry in olive oil with Italian sausages and beef tomatoes.

Do you mean those in heavy tomato sauce? This is the easiest pasta to make. Just buy 1/2 lbs of hamburger beef, a can of Del Monte Premium Chunky Pasta Sauce and your choice of pasta. Don't forget to sprinkle generous amount of grated parmesan cheese before serving.
There's a great italian pizza restaurant called Spizza, they have one of the nicest pizza in town IMO. They use the traditional firewood ovens to bake their very thin pizza crust, very delicious crust really! Can visit their website at http://www.spizza.sg/
The one I tried was at Club Street, highly recommended. Not trying to advertise though.
I tried the one at Balmoral Plaza in Bukit Timah Road and I really like it there. I keep going back, prolly 7 - 10 times oready! They got several branches. From what I read, they are the ones that's most recommended in this thread and I AGREE!!!!!:thumbsup:

Tried Spizza once at HarbourFront. They do have a variety of pizza. I tried 3 types sharing with 3 friends but too bad I don't find them specially good. :sweat:
The price is not cheap consider the pizza size....
