gee, i must be the other extreme then...i just rinse in fresh water, and let it dry out.

i don't wash the inside of the housing at all. i think you run the risk of water getting trapped inside the housing at the push buttons and springs, which might be a great way to fry your camera.

then again, i;m not as bad as someone who chucks the housing into the gear bag...haha

wow.. throwin the casing into the gear bag!?!?! tt's crazy..:bheart: cant imagine my casing underneath the numerous dive bags when they load and unload the equipments onto the boats or the piers..

Well things like this happen. I have witness it before on my way back from Tioman. Expat's camera and housing in the dive bag on the express speedboat back to Mersing.
He was picked up first before I got on with all my dive gears .. too bad for him coz his dive bag did not indicate FRAGILE nor put camera inside. Don't expect anyone to know that there is a camera in there anyway.

I did not give sh*t because 1) he does not own the boat 2) he is not king 3) he has no common sense to expect that bags will be stacked up in the small boat and lastly 4) never put camera and dive gears together.

My U/W Casing and Strobe is kept inside a small Pelican Hard case..... only the Tray & Arms are in a soft bag.... all are kept inside the dive bag when transported. Like Dylan said.... Its very much up to you to protect your own gears....
